I forgot to put in my estimated payments to the IRS on my tax return What do I do?
Wait until your return is processed; you don't have to amend your tax return. The IRS will most likely catch it "adjust" the refund/tax due on their own since they have received the estimated payments and have it in their database.
IF the return has just been submitted and pending, and if it is rejected for some reason - you can enter your taxes paid then. Otherwise, just wait.

What do you mean by processed? I’ve filed my return and it’s been accepted but I haven’t paid yet. Will it be processed once I’ve paid and then they will pay me back the estimated payment I forgot? Or should they have noticed already?

There is no guarantee that the IRS will notice this and refund the money to you. Amend will be available for TurboTax in late March. Amend your return and add the estimated payments.
Amend in TurboTax is a quick and easy process.
Go to Federal
Adjustments and Credits
Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid
Federal estimated taxes for 2020 (Form 1040ES)
Fill in your amounts and file your federal amend
What are federal estimated taxes?

How do you navigate to "Adjustments and Credits"? Turbotax used to have a navigation sidebar in prior years but now it has disappeared.

As long as you have not e-filed, you can go back and make the changes needed. You would want to make sure to do this from online and not from the mobile app. Please see the steps provided below on how to jump to a particular section:
- Use theSearchtool located in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. For example, if you were needing to enter a 1099-R, you would enter 1099R in the search bar. If you see "Jump to" in the search results, click on it and follow the on-screen instructions.
- You can try clicking onTax Toolsand then click onTools.
- TheTools Centerpopup will display. Here you will have two options (Topic SearchorTopic List). In Topic Search you will have to enter a keyword to search for, and in Topic List you can select asection of your return you would like to revisit.
Please let us know if this helps.

I forgot to put in my estimated payments to the IRS on my tax return What do I do?
Hello and thank you. I already have e filed. I then filed an amended return, which was accepted. The strange thing is that now that I added and then filed with my estimated Federal payment, my state taxes are different. Why would me adding an estimated payment to the Feds change my state taxes?

It depends.
There could have been changes in the tax laws since you filed your original return and those updates have changed your federal return, which in turn, flowed into your state return.
The best thing to do is to view your state return as your already filed to help determine where the difference could be from. This will help narrow down what the issue is and we can assist you accordingly.
Please see the following link for stepsto view your return already filed.
Printing a copy of your return after e-file
