My children have excelled with virtual learning. Their understanding of assignments have increased. They have understood math for the first time. The teachers are very helpful and kind.

A lot of the teachers will just ignore you when you have a question.My English teacher at the beginning of the year had messed up on grading one of my assignments,and we emailed her about it and she never sent us a response so we kept emailing her and 3 months later she finally answered us.Also,if you ask teachers about something then almost every one you ask will give you a different answer.I tried for the early graduation this year and they told us that they would give us an answer before spring break which was 2 months ago and they only recently got back to us.Teachers always give you information in class connects and rarely put up recordings like there supposed to, so if your flex,where you dont have to go to class connects,then getting important information from them is nearly impossible.There are also way too many outside websites that we have to go to.I have 6 classes and more than a dozen different websites that teachers expect me to check every day which is very stressful.

I enjoyed the changes made for this year. I would like to see more time, focus and repetition in ela... specifically, vocabulary, grammar skills and terminology, spelling words. That would be helpful when learning multiplication as well.

I love how the teachers engage with the students on a level like no other. They are very patient, make sure the students understand the materials, and provide resources and special one-on-one sessions to help the students succeed. The teachers learn their students and take pride in building a great teacher-student relationship so that each student feels valued and heard. There are opportunities online and in person to socialize and make friends. ARVA has been a blessing and after 3 years of being with ARVA, we plan to continue to stay with ARVA throughout graduation.

If you have a dedicated parent, a dedicated child that works every day for a set period of time and can read instructions, material, assignments, and turn it in correctly then you are good to go. If you struggle with reading, time management, lack commitment to doing work on your own at home with distractions, or expect that the teachers at ARVA help with everything then you are not going to be very successful. It is a parent led curriculum and the child has to be comfortable and stable enough to be able to work. That includes instructions, reading comprehension of all materials, homework assignments, and tests. If you cannot afford homeschooling course materials, use ARVA and implement those with other materials to help your student succeed with good grades. But to expect it to be a school to do everything for your student it is not true.

We love Arva, it has helped my son who has Autism and had trouble with ppl understanding him at public school. The teachers are great and are willing and able to one on one your child for extra help, the class rooms are small enough for each child to interact with the teacher without going unnoticed. The attitude and positivity and care that the staff has for our children is amazing. My son doesn't feel like he "stands out", he feels included. Due to my son's inaptitude of social involvement he didn't know how to exert himself and recently he came out of his shell with the encouragement of his teacher (Mrs. Bingham ) he participated in his first spelling bee. There's so many great points I can make, but overall as a continued arva parent/student for 3 years and running, I would definitely recommend ARVA to anyone and everyone.

Being in an online school taught me how to manage my time and keep a schedule while simultaneously teaching me how to navigate electronics. I also developed better writing skills through formal and professional emails, essays, and other forms of communication, which is a life skill I will surely need in the future.
